Programs & Workshops
In keeping with our purpose to promote and advance fiber art through the education of our members and the public, DAFA offers programs through the monthly meetings, play days, and workshops. Non-members are welcome to attend.
Programs:
- August 25, 2008: Cassie Carnutt presents My Trip to India. Cassie will talk about about her recent trip to India. This will include pictures and/or video with examples of the amazn textiles she purchased. For more information about Cassie, visit www.cassiecurnutt.com or www.myspace.com/cassiecurnutt.
- Mini Workshop: Deborah Boschert will teach us how to make paper star lanterns inspired by the ones in India. The workshop is from 6-7:00pm and there is a $2 material fee.
To see examples, visit store.divine-planet.com/fipopastli.html. Bring your dinner, scissors, Exacto knife, cutting mat, glue stick, small hole punch, bone folder, and a straight edge.
